The Humic plugin gives Codex access to your design systems and design tokens.
You can ask it to inspect tokens, use them in code, and update a draft in Humic.
The connector is in a staged rollout. Follow these steps when Humic shows Connect your agent as active in your workspace.
Connect Humic
When Humic is listed in the public Plugins Directory:
- In Codex, open the Plugins Directory.
- Find Humic and click Install.
- When Codex asks you to connect, sign in to Humic in the browser and click Authorize.
You don’t need to install Node, copy an API key, or edit a configuration file.
The account you authorize determines which design systems Codex can access.
The public listing is subject to OpenAI review. Until it appears, Humic is not
yet available through this one-click flow.
Try: “List my Humic design systems”, “Use my Humic colors in this component”,
or “Show unpublished changes in my design system”.
What Codex can do
Codex uses your Humic membership and role. It can read your design systems,
tokens, foundations, palettes, quality reports, and versions. If your role
allows editing, it can change drafts, import tokens, publish, and roll back.
Ask Codex to show proposed changes before applying them.
Disconnect
In Humic, open Settings → Connect AI clients and disconnect Codex under
Connected apps. You can authorize it again later.
